Roots and Peppers was birthed from a long love history with West African cuisine and founded as a food business with a core focus to prepare and produce delicious and healthy meals which will cater to the specific culinary needs of our customers. One unique quality we possess is an underlying love for good food and a passion for preparing and delivering homemade delicacies under standard conditions. To us it’s not just food, it’s a whole culinary experience.
Now we’re excited to share that our very first restaurant is live! Presently located in the heart of Calgary in Alberta, Canada, we are set to give an unforgettable African experience, Naija Style!
Our food foundation is based on the boisterous cooking traditions of our grandmothers, who employed the use of freshly acquired food produce from the farms, freshly harvested vegetables, rich flavours, fragrant spices and seasoning from plants and herbs to ensure delicious homely dishes.
We solemnly promise to strive to offer the very best quality of food in terms of food produce used, method of preparation and final serving.
We aim to ensure that we produce healthy and delicious meals prepared under highly hygienic standards in accordance with food safety requirements.

Our Sip & Paint experience brought together an incredible mix of people, stories, creativity, and good vibes. From first-time painters to seasoned artists, everyone came ready to create, connect, laugh, and make beautiful memories.
This event was a beautiful collaboration between Roots & Peppers and Premium Box Entertainment & Events. While Roots & Peppers brought the food, hospitality, and atmosphere, the Premium Box team expertly curated the experience—from planning and hosting to décor, guest experience, and every thoughtful detail in between.
Moments like these remind us that food has a way of bringing people together, and when you add art, music, creativity, and community, something truly special happens.
